Did the Sussex’s actually give a f*ck about the Queen ?

Here we go, AGAIN! Omid Scobie, that ever-so-reliable biographer and the mouthpiece for Harry and Meghan, has scored another hit by releasing a blockbuster book – a perfect PR stunt just when the new season of “The Crown” is out.

In his ‘tell-all’ drama, Scobie details that Meghan — ‘Our Duchess of Complaints’ as I like to call her, was allegedly barred from seeing the Queen in her final hours. Now I’m going to pose an interesting question – Why on earth would Meghan want to see the Queen? A woman she has accused of being at the helm of an institution that ‘tore her family apart’? Why visit someone you claim caused you immeasurable grief?

Now let’s face the brutal truth, the Sussexes have always been about the Sussexes. It’s all about their narrative, their pain, their victimhood. They’ve painted themselves as the protagonists in a tale written by them, directed by them, and starring them. The Queen? She’s just another supporting role in their drama.

And can we talk about the timing? Another book, another set of ‘revelations’ — perfectly timed with the release of “The Crown.” It’s almost as if they planned it, isn’t it? As if the Sussex’s PR machine is hitching a ride on the coattails of the hit Netflix show, manoeuvring to keep them in the headlines, keep them relevant, keep them the center of conversation!

Now I’m not saying the Sussexes didn’t care for the Queen. We’re not privy to their private conversations. But let’s be frank – actions speak louder than words. A constant stream of books, interviews, leaks to the press that cast the monarchy in a less than favourable light – you be the judge of that.

And as for ‘speeding up the Queen’s death’ – it’s obvious that these two did not help matters , it doesn’t even deserve a response. Health is a complex field, yes but the, the actions of Harry and Meghan could only have fuelled the fire.

In the end, the Sussexes are playing their own game, molding their story to fit their own narrative. Whether we’re buying it, that’s another story. So, did the Sussexes actually give a damn about the Queen? I’ll leave that to you. But let’s be clear, the royal family narrative isn’t a one-way street, there are multiple perspectives and this is just one shady corner.
