If you’ve been following Anna Bey’s journey via school of affluence on YouTube you may be wondering how in the World this Slaylebrity is able to line such a lavish lifestyle when barely a few years ago she says she was nowhere up on the ladder scale of wealth.
The following information is all allegedly. Even (especially?) the bits stated by Anna herself:
Who is Anna Bey?
Anna Bey is a Swedish-Russian former reality TV participant, gogo dancer, and alleged sugar baby who has been accused of borrowing generously from her friends and peers to create her “online finishing school” The School of Affluence. Which she has 0 qualifications for, other than pure speculations, looking enviously from the side-lines documented through her Jetsetbabe blog and some interviews. From observations from Tattle, she also enjoys inflating her earnings and net worth on many Wiki-sites.
Anna has used many different names:
* Aija Räty (earliest known name)
* Aija Darling
* Anna Beyer
* Anna Bey
* Aija Hallit (current legal name)
Some of the most frequently requested Anna discussion and links can be found here. We highly recommend reading the first three threads about her.
A brief and timely history of Anna
Anna, initially Aija Räty, was born in Estonia and moved to Sweden at age 3-4 (around 1990.) She had a middle-class lifestyle with lawyer mother Erin and a stepfather working in I.T. After high school she left Sweden to party around Europe, starting with a short language school course in Rome to learn Italian. She claims that her fling with an old-money Italian rich kid sparked her obsession with “high society”, although all he seems to have done for her is drive her around Rome. She then moved on to Ibiza and worked as a trashy club dancer (videos of her dancing topless can be found on YouTube.) Around this time, she seems to have adopted Aija Darling as a stage name.
Subsequently Anna moved to Malta with boyfriend DJ Mykill, a class act who introduced her as “my bitch” on camera. When that relationship ended, she returned to Sweden and took a digital marketing course (says it was a degree, not true.) In 2010, she appeared in the reality TV show Paradise Hotel Sweden – similar to Love Island. Anna moved to London in 2012-3 and began an anonymous blog called “Jetset Babe” about her dreams of a lavish lifestyle. Anna has admitted to being a sugar baby during this time (now-husband Joseph providing her flat), rumours abound of her also being an escort or yacht girl.
Having failed to achieve her goal of landing a wealthy man, Anna decided the way forward was to coach other women in how to be “elite”, “elegant”, and land a rich boyfriend/husband/sponsor (even though she herself couldn’t do it.) She re-branded as “writer Anna Beyer” and then later changed her name again to Anna Bey. Anna launched the first incarnation of what would become School of Affluence, and has since been selling online courses about “elegance”, “femininity”, and “networking.” TV interviews and tabloids have promoted her as a “millionaire matchmaker” although she denies she’s ever called herself such.
Anna claims to live in Geneva and be married to Joseph Hallit, a mid-level employee at a Lebanese bank. That’s questionable – see below for evidence that they may not really be married and Anna is effectively homeless. However, she did live in Geneva for a while, making Switzerland is at least the eighth country Anna has lived in since her late teens. She regularly changes her name and identity, and every few years she moves around and starts on some kind of new project or scheme.
Overview of her potential lies/unethical actions/bad taste
1. Worked for “matchmaking” agency Vida Consultancy. Numerous reviews claim it is a scam which charges lonely women thousands of pounds to go on fake dates with random men Vida solicits via LinkedIn.
2. Alleged racist messages with her “students” and demeaning terms about Black and Brown women. Probably jealous because #blackdontcrack. Yet, she plagiarised at least two Black women for content for the SOA course.
3. Her mentor seems to be the infamous con artist Dan Lok
4. Constant lies about her life and pretends to have a man providing for her. Actually she provides for herself. Nothing wrong with that obviously, but one cannot teach something they never mastered.
5. More importantly, her money comes from her lies and scams.
6. Charges €1000 for a “course” made from stolen content (can be found in inexpensive books or even online for free. Some was stolen from others’ blog about escorting.) Said course includes handouts that haven’t been proofread and are full of badly mangled English, errors from dictation software, and placeholder text. She also frequently steals other people’s graphics and copyrighted photos. Anna has plagiarised material from the actual finishing school Institute Villa Pierrefeu where she took a short course, and from Color Me Beautiful.
7. Dishonest marketing of the SoA course. She promised her subscribers “lifetime access” to one course, then deleted the material. She has also promised subscribers to speak to them 1-2-1 but then, when they signed up for the course, they were told not to contact her and blocked/removed if they tried to message her
8. She buys followers and creates numerous fake social media profiles and data-mining websites to promote herself and SoA
9. Preys on naïve, poor and sometimes very young girls and women. She encourages her followers to emulate a woman who reportedly took the SoA course whilst living in a women’s refuge after escaping a violent marriage.
10. Teaches prostitution without naming it and without the safety rules. Tells her “students” that they can find a rich husband through escort tactics such as sitting in the bar or lobby of a five-star hotel. She has promoted “transactional sex” (her words) as a way of joining the upper classes.
11. Has a long history of using other women for what she can get out of them, then ditching / “ghosting” them. These include women using her app, former “students”, women who were in Facebook groups with her, and a group of sugar babies/escorts she met through Tumblr. Anna used all these people’s advice to help her get ahead or market SoA, with no thanks or credit given.
12. General lack of concern and empathy for others; including people with health problems, victims of natural disasters, etc.
13. Has travelled frequently throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and does not wear a mask in public. She claims that she has had COVID before so can’t get it again, even though we now know re-infection occurs. Has not stated whether she’s vaccinated.
14. Doesn’t always respect others’ boundaries, especially on social media.
15. Gets freebies and hotels in return for social media marketing, but does not state that it is an #ad
16. Her subscription app “The A-List” requires users to share their passports with no guarantee that she won’t sell that information.
17. Chronically lazy and unable to stick to a regular posting schedule. She hires underpaid “staff” to do everything for her and still can’t get content out when she says she will.
18. Lack of honesty about her past as a topless dancer/alleged sugar baby which she tries to cover up. Other women who do not have “squeaky clean” history are honest but discreet about it and have gone on to marry well.
19. Too much poorly done filler in her face and lips. Bad nose surgery. In spite of being only 35, she looks +45 and not in a hot MILF way. Icing on the cake, she preaches “good taste” in plastic surgery and stuff.
20. Tries to fake affluence by displaying boxes from designer stores (but not the products), fake designer bags, and real luxury goods that she has either borrowed from her friend Lina Hadid or rented. She is also known to take photos in front of designer stores and 5-star hotels without going inside. Anna films in hotels for an “affluent” backdrop but pretends it’s her home by displaying some personal belongings such as framed pictures of her.
21. Cannot take any criticism whatsoever. She blocks people on social media for criticising her or asking questions even if they have paid for her course. A video about “status symbols” received so many negative comments in the first half hour that she pulled it
22. She has no relevant qualifications or experience for any of the things she tries to “teach.” She has no education past high school, no network, hasn’t married up and knows nothing about affluent lifestyle. Nor does she run an honest business. She seems to believe that taking online courses and attending conferences makes her just as educated as someone with a Master’s.
23. Claims to be a qualified style and image consultant but has no sense of either. Thinks that poorly fitting clothes made out of cheap polyester are stylish if they have a designer label on them. All her clothes are mismatched designer items that don’t go well together since she can’t afford full price and buys them from outlets, sales or Yoox. She also doesn’t seem to have much idea of what’s appropriate for the season or occasion – e.g., wearing boots to the opera or summer clothes in winter.
24. Claims to be a feminist but encourages women to neglect their education, not to have a career, and to judge themselves and others by looks and money. She has repeatedly referred to other women in terms such as “flies”, “dirt”, “ratchet” and “plain Janes”
25. Huge entitlement complex; she does as little as humanly possible and fleeces her “students”/victims for as much as she can. While also teaching her followers to be entitled and demand that a man pay for everything.
26. Gives her followers dangerous / medically unsound advice. She has advocated “dry fasting” (i.e. fasting for a day or more without drinking water) which can be very dangerous. And has recommended putting perfume on one’s private parts – almost certain to cause a yeast infection
27. Anna spends so much time travelling that it’s very unlikely she meets the minimum term of stay for her Swiss residency – see Homelessness section. She has also been reported to authorities over The A-List app (see below.)
28. Says she’s living an affluent life but she’s barely upper middle class and not even reached to that level with integrity and honesty.
Possible Lies Anna repeatedly tells
What she says The truth
She’s “affluent” and married to a successful man She’s barely middle class, and married to a middle class man who makes less money than she does. Before her wedding in 2021, Anna wore a fake engagement ring and repeatedly lied about already being married.
She has a degree in internet marketing, and / or studied for most of a degree in Italian language before dropping out to pursue a “jet set” lifestyle. She took a vocational course in marketing at a technical school, and a short language school course in Rome. She doesn’t have, and has never studied for, a degree.
In Ibiza, she dated a top DJ and danced at one of the island’s hottest clubs after passing a competitive audition process. DJ Mykill is at best a warm-up act – although to his credit, he’s still working regularly. She worked at Amnesia, which is a major club in Ibiza; but she was a trashy topless dancer and evidently has no formal dance training or sense of rhythm.
She grew up around horses and began riding at age 8, when she agreed to muck out a neighbour’s horse in exchange for riding lessons. She loves the countryside and wants to move to a rural area Anna has limited knowledge of horses or how to ride one. It’s fairly obvious that she has not been riding for most of her life. Most likely she wants to move to the countryside because it’s cheaper than living in Geneva.
Would never wear Zara or Mango She wore them for many years because she couldn’t afford anything else. Her early SOA videos advised mixing Zara and Mango with designer labels
Has never been or claimed to be a matchmaker She’s allowed tabloids, magazines, and TV interviewers to call her a “millionaire / billionaire matchmaker” citing her background at Vida Consultancy (another scam.) Around 2016, she planned to start her own matchmaking agency as “Anna Beyer”
“An internationally renowned lifestyle and personal development educator” She has no education past high school, no real social circle, hasn’t achieved her main goal in life (finding a rich man to pay her bills), and can’t teach anything to do with business or life goals
She has successfully reinvented herself from the trashy habits of her youth: drinking, swearing, smoking, and being aggressive Still does all these things, with the added bonus of posting photos of herself draped over her husband’s “friend” once she’s had a few too many on Friday night
She shares the secrets of high society that she learned at the famous Institute Villa Pierrefeu finishing school Attended IVP with money she made from selling her first course, but it evidently didn’t teach her anything resembling class or elegance. Pretty much all material in her courses is stuff that can be easily found online or in books
She does not teach gold-digging but believes in traditional gender roles “Traditional” gender roles involve a woman staying at home to take care of the house / children. Anna doesn’t like the idea of that and doesn’t seem to believe women should have to contribute anything to a relationship at all.
Exclusively dates rich, successful men who treat her well Her old blog entries speak negatively about ex-boyfriends, who she referred to as “douches”, “losers” etc and indicates they didn’t have mone
Supporting cast
* Joseph Hallit = Anna’s husband (or registered civil partner), an average man with an average job at Audi Bank in Geneva. Not affluent. See “Relationship with Joseph Hallit” below for more.
* Bassam Feres = Joseph Hallit’s friend and former co-worker. After Anna posted a series of inappropriate photos of herself draped all over him, he took an extended absence from social media – this may have been at the request of Audi Bank, for which he was still working at the time.
* Lina Hadid = Influencer and socialite, a niece of Mohamed Hadid and cousin of the models Bella and Gigi. Lina seems to be Anna’s only friend, and is the real owner of a lot of “Anna’s” designer bags / accessories. Recently she has appeared on Anna’s social media less and it appears that they no longer spend as much time together.
* Erin Räty = Anna’s mother, owner of a law firm of which Anna was listed as co-director until it closed in early 2021
* Carl Buchalet = The puppet master pulling Anna’s strings. Ostensibly “just” the CEO of her company Bey International.
* Karim Elachkar = Another friend of Joseph and Anna. Seems to get fewer social invitations from them – possibly because he seems like a decent guy and / or is openly gay. Has appeared in some of Anna’s course materials where he gave investment advice.
* DJ Mykill = Anna’s ex, a DJ she lived with whilst in Ibiza and later moved to Malta with him. She provided guest vocals on his song “I Am There” and did some kind of “promo” work for him – probably involving her tawdry sideline in club dancing.
* Gustavo Da Silva (“Mr Nice Ass”) = Lina Hadid’s playboy law partner, a metrosexual Casanova young lawyer too aware of his good looks & over-exploits it. Known for dancing showing off his well exercised naked butt, or dancing taking off some clothes off women on the dance floor at Lina Palestina’s home.
* Lauren Amiri (the.la.way) = Lauren, who has her own Tattle thread, is an acquaintance of Anna. She seems to have distanced herself from Anna somewhat, and makes what may be subtle jabs at her on Insta. Anna tries to promote herself on Lauren’s social media.
* Isabel Brown = A deeply unpleasant Anna-wannabe with even less class and discretion. We sometimes talk about her on Anna’s thread because Isabel isn’t noteworthy enough to have one of her own. She now sells her own courses in how to get money out of men and is, at least, more successful at it than Anna.
* Kristin = A friend of Anna’s when she was living in Sweden around 2010-11. Kristin’s old blog details many accounts of drinking and partying with Anna, and gives some valuable insights into the real Aija Räty.
* Ivan = Anna’s personal trainer who sometimes appears on her Insta. They train in the park since Anna doesn’t seem to have a home he could go to (see “Apparent homelessness”)
Relationship with Joseph Hallit and wedding
Joseph Hallit is the Head of Private Banking at Audi Bank in Geneva, and is not a millionaire. He and Anna began dating around 2012-13 when she first moved to London. It has been alleged by those who knew her at the time that she met him on an escort date. Anna says Joseph paid her rent while she lived in London; more likely he let her use an apartment Audi Bank provided for business. Their “relationship” is, by all appearances, for convenience. They may have initially got together as part of a plan for Joseph to invest in Anna’s scams; while living in London she had plans to open a matchmaking business (according to her) or an escort agency (according to past acquaintances.)
Anna moved to Geneva in 2019 to live with Joseph and they got married in January 2021. “Conveniently”, this was just before the deadline to register a marriage before the new tax year, and before Joseph’s Swiss residency was due to expire (but now he can stay because his wife has an EU passport.) Bassam Feres had to translate during the ceremony since neither Anna nor Joseph speaks French well. Everyone then went back to Lina Hadid’s apartment for a reception consisting of a small selection of supermarket hummus and mezze. None of Anna’s family were present. News of Anna’s marriage came as a shock to some of her followers, not least because she’d previously claimed in her first SoA course that she was already married.
Anna and Joseph may actually have had a PACS civil agreement rather than a legal marriage. (Note – PACS is for both homosexual and heterosexual couples.) This would explain the total lack of effort and why Anna didn’t receive any congratulations. Furthermore, in the video the registrar can be heard to say she “hadn’t done anything like this before.” Since it’s common for couples to film their weddings at the Town Hall, we suspect Anna and Joseph may have staged parts of a wedding ceremony for the sake of appearance and said they were making an amateur movie or something.
Anna did several Insta lives on the subject of her wedding and released a video about it. She bragged that her (poorly fitting and not particularly stylish) suit was Dior, and called the lovely historic town hall building where the ceremony took place “ugly.” She said that the marriage “had to be done” – romantic! Again, likely for immigration and/or tax purposes. There was no honeymoon; the next day Anna was promoting her latest course and Joseph seemingly went back to work. Tattle posters with knowledge of jewellery have discerned that Anna’s engagement ring is not a diamond, and may be moissanite.
After the wedding (or lack thereof) Anna continued sharing increasingly inappropriate photos of herself snuggling up to Bassam; which she justified by saying “my husband is also there, just not on camera!” Only two or three months down the line, evidence emerged that she was staying in a rental property without Joseph at least some of the time. (Anna sharing footage of herself waking up in what appears to be either a rented office or an AirBNB.) As of September 2021 she has begun dropping cryptic hints on Insta about “choosing the wrong men” and has been photographed in London without her wedding ring, including at escort hotspot Annabel’s.
Apparent homelessness
Anna currently appears not to have a permanent home. Her videos in Geneva seem to be filmed in what is most likely a corporate apartment Audi Bank uses as a lounge to entertain clients (so, most of the apartment isn’t used.) Tattler teki_awas pieced together a floor plan from different photos / videos posted by Anna: https://tattle.life/threads/anna-bey-27-net-worth-covid-hoax-real-name-age-husband-a-list-workshop-reviews.23565/post-6708175
Anna is constantly travelling and it appears that when she’s in Switzerland, she stays in hotels or AirBNB rentals on the border with France. Her social media suggests she only ever visits Geneva at weekends, likely because Audi won’t be using the lounge at that time.

* The Hummus Wedding Buffet = When the only food available at Anna’s “wedding reception” was a small selection of mezze with lots of hummus.

* Salty fish = Whenever Anna goes to a restaurant she always seems to order the same food: fish in a salt crust. We wonder if this is due to her obvious issues around food (a common trick among those with eating disorders is to order food that looks ugly so they won’t want to eat it.)
Anna Vocabulary
* Ehleghant = Elegant

The A-List
“The A-List” short for The A-List Private Ladies Club, is Anna’s app, designed to help women “network” with each other. Reviews and first hand experiences of disappointed members who were treated poorly by Anna can be found throughout the threads and are detailed below. The app costs $300 annually and no refunds are allowed. Subscriptions have to be bought through a third-party website so that users aren’t covered by Apple/Android TOS, which might allow them to get their money back. The app provider indicates that there are over 2,000 users on The A-List, however it’s not clear how many of these are Anna’s staff or fake profiles. Anna herself has little to no involvement with the app, which is run by moderators. After Anna offered a special joining rate to her “students” and promised access to the app’s “VIP lounge”, some claimed that they paid but didn’t get VIP access.
Former users of The A-List have come forward to say that they have been banned with no refund for discussing topics Anna doesn’t approve of, and that Anna’s staff edit/censor posts. I.e., actually altering the text to make it look like the poster said something they didn’t – not just removing posts or adding moderator notes. What’s most concerning is that joining The A-List requires showing photographic ID/a passport to sign up. The T&Cs do not guarantee that Anna won’t sell your data, and she has repeatedly evaded questions about security and why showing a passport is necessary. Anna says the app is only for those 18+, but there is documented evidence of her referring someone who claimed to be 17 to app moderators for help in signing up. The app has also been listed in the Teens section of the Apple store which indicates teenagers were downloading it.
App users can arrange “networking” events to meet each other; Anna attends some of these. Users have been going to polo matches in groups of about 10 and most of them dressed inappropriately. Anna admits she knows nothing about polo, and has told her followers that they can meet rich men at polo matches without showing any interest in the sport. She once shared photos of herself at “high tea” (actually afternoon tea; high tea is a working class meal) with subscribers of the app. Everyone ordered their own individual tray of sandwiches and cakes, so the table was overcrowded. Anna doesn’t seem even to realise that the trays are meant for sharing!
Brand names/trademarks Anna has used
* Jetset Babe = This website began as an anonymous blog by Anna. Later, she took down the blog but kept up the website to give advice about “elegant” living and promote SoA. Anna claims that the blog “documented her elite experiences in high society in attempt to inspire her audience and educate them on elegance and self-improvement.” In fact it mainly consisted of personal navel-gazing, stories about partying in Europe, and speculation about “jetset” women like Anna Andres. Numerous examples of old blog posts have been documented on Tattle threads, and there are screencaps in the dossier linked above.
* Annabeyer.com = Short-lived website that Anna intended to showcase her work as “writer” Anna Beyer.
* byBeyer = An “elite” matchmaking agency Anna intended to start around 2016, that ultimately never went anywhere.
* School of Affluence (SoA) = Anna’s “online finishing school” which went through several incarnations. She dropped this name for a while in early 2021, realising how toxic the brand had become. Currently she is relaunching it as a separate brand from her business/networking focus.
* Secrets of the Elite Woman (SotEW) = A School of Affluence spin-off that Anna tried and failed to launch in late 2020/early 2021 and wants to bring back. It’s much the same material but with more of a focus on networking and lifestyle than marrying up.
* Bey International SA = Anna currently trades as a registered company under this name. Its CEO is Carl Buchalet (see above), Anna is not even registered as a director which means he is the only one who can make legal decisions. At one time, she was listed as a director of her mother’s business but not of her own.
* The A-List Private Ladies Club = Anna’s shady “networking” app
* MeuPatrocínio (MySponsor) = A Brazilian site for people in search of sugar relationships, similar to Seeking Arrangement. Anna teamed up with its founder Jennifer Lobo to launch a Portuguese-language version of School of Affluence, although little is known about this currently because the website was pulled.
Anna’s Greatest Hits
Water goblin – In Anna’s course material she refers to a “water goblin” and “water gallbladder” along with numerous other examples of poor English. It appears that at the time of compiling the material she did not know how to say glass of water in English. Course material also contains lorem ipsum text, apparently Anna does not understand that a placeholder has to be replaced at some point. It’s not a crime to speak broken English. It should be a crime to charge over 1,000 Euros for this material without even bothering to proof read it.
Racism – Screenshots exist of Anna making racist remarks about Black and Brown women, and using slurs, in private messages with members of her SOA group on Facebook. We can’t verify whether these are real, but a screen recording of an video showcasing the messages has appeared and can be accessed here. Furthermore, there is also footage of Anna in a video chat with SOA subscribers where she stated she wanted to keep “ratchet” women and “SheRaSeven girls” out of her group by making a paid app. Even if this wasn’t racist in intent, it’s vastly hypocritical of her since she has no more class or taste than SheRaSeven1. Anna has a history with Black YouTuber Christelyn Kazarin, more about that here.
Cynthia Nixon video – For International Women’s Day 2020, Cynthia Nixon released a viral video in which she recites a poem by Camille Rainville about the unfair pressures society places on women. Anna tried to cash in with her own remake where she advocated for “equality” by demanding men pay for everything. She likely expected this to be picked up on and go viral like Cynthia’s, but instead she was contacted by the copyright holders and made to take the video down. Anna then threw a tantrum all over her social media about how she’s the real feminist here!
Bassam Feres photos – Anna has attempted to make her followers think Bassam is her “wealthy man” since he looks the part more than Joseph does. After her wedding, she posted many Insta photos/stories of her snuggling up to Bassam or looking adoringly at him. She has even shared an image of them lounging on a sofa together with her legs draped over him and wearing a torn dress. It suggests the relationship may not be as platonic as Anna says.
Topless shock and hiatus – When Tattle unearthed photos and video of Anna’s past as a topless dancer, she told her followers that “everyone” has a trashy past and sugar-coated it, again making out that she was just a regular club dancer. Proof Anna is aware of Tattle and that her followers read us. After this, she took a hiatus from social media, probably for the sake of damage control. Bassam disappeared from social media at this time as well; it was right after Anna had been posting increasingly inappropriate photos of herself all over him (see above.)
The Bum Gun – Whilst staying at a guest house, Anna thought a bidet attachment was a shower and posted a photo to her Insta stories, saying that Elegant Ladies need to be able to cope with such eventualities as the shower being in front of the toilet. Then presumably had a shower using something that all the room’s previous guests have cleaned their bottoms with.
Deleted YouTube Video – On 18th July 2021, Anna uploaded a video about “five items elegant ladies must own.” These were things like Cartier bracelets, Lamborghini cars, Birkin bags and so on. All basic Insta-wannabe items that old-money people don’t usually flaunt. The video received a huge backlash with so many negative comments that she removed the video less than an hour later. The following day she posted a faux “apology”, saying that she was talking about “affluence” not “elegance” in the video (???) and was sorry that the message hadn’t been clear. Yes, that’s what the problem was.
Google visit – Anna reached 1 million YouTube subscribers in September 2021. She was staying in London at the time and shared many photos of herself outside Google’s London offices with a bouquet of flowers, claiming that she had been invited there to celebrate her subscriber milestone and the flowers were given to her by Google. Tattlers found this suspicious as the flowers looked like they’d been bought from a supermarket and Anna remained outside the building. When Google actually gives someone a subscriber award they receive a much nicer bouquet and a plaque, and can film or take photos within designated areas inside the office. A security guard can be seen in the background of Anna’s photos keeping an eye on her, indicating she wasn’t expected there. Anna evidently did not receive a plaque or invitation from Google – to get it, she’d have to prove to them that her followers are all genuine, leading us to believe she bought a bunch of fake ones.
Examples of rude, arrogant, thoughtless, selfish, etc. behaviour
* Travelling frequently throughout the pandemic and not wearing a mask in public including when partying in France among crowds of people. Tattle suspects she is unvaccinated as she has spoken about having to take COVID tests / quarantine in places where fully vaccinated people aren’t expected to do it.
* Accusing hotels/restaurants of poor service because they were taking precautions against COVID, such as limited seating
* Frequently stealing and plagiarising others’ work. Mostly photos and graphics, but she used to have a library of pirated material (such as published books) that she circulated in a Facebook group.
* Criticising someone for talking about their cancer treatment whilst in a restaurant – i.e., with their own friends, not even talking to Anna. She says it’s not “elegant” to talk about one’s health problems, yet has discussed her own health in detail with hundreds of people on a livestream.
* Publicly criticising a woman she personally knows, who had appeared on an episode of First Dates and paid her way for the date – in Anna’s world this is not “ehleghant”
* Anna was travelling in Turkey during the 2020 Aegean Sea earthquake and initially posted that she was relieved she hadn’t felt it. Only after commenters called her insensitive did she express regret for the victims.
* When the actor Willie Garson died during filming of the Sex and the City sequel show, Anna expressed concern for the show’s future rather than condolences to his family and friends
* Making a big display on Insta of cutting up a Rimowa suitcase because she couldn’t get into it. Either she wanted to show off that she was “affluent” enough to afford to destroy a high-end brand, and / or was going out somewhere and too impatient to try to open the suitcase properly.
* Recording part of an opera performance just to prove she was there, even though recording is strictly prohibited
* Frequently lambastes brands like Zara and Michael Kors as cheap and trashy, even though she herself wore them in the past and they’re more within her target audience’s price range than Chanel or Hermes. This is especially insulting given that a lot of her fans live in countries where Zara is considered an expensive, luxurious brand.
* Sharing photos of herself all over Bassam and trying to make followers think he is her husband. Even if Joseph is present like Anna says, it’s still disrespectful to him.
* Anna said in autumn 2021 that someone close to her was in hospital with COVID and later that they had died. It’s likely most or all of this was false because her account didn’t add up; she suspiciously didn’t mention her relationship to the person or even refer to them as “he” or “she”; and she was busily following and unfollowing accounts on Insta at the time. Her Insta story that claimed she was flying out to attend the funeral was accompanied by a photo taken inside a plane – recycled from a trip in 2018. Why would someone lie about any of this?
* Anna appears to be taking photos / videos in an apartment that Audi Bank uses as a lounge for entertaining clients, which she pretends is her home. If that’s the case, we don’t know whether the bank gave her permission to be there. Or, if anyone is staying in the apartment (there are women’s clothes, which do not look like Anna’s, on display), whether they gave permission. In one video Anna prominently displayed a coffee-table book with a picture of a nude man on the cover; this doesn’t seem like something a conservative, Muslim-owned bank would approve of.
FAQs (F-Bey-Qs?)
Is Anna Russian or Swedish?
She’s a Swedish citizen with a Russian-Estonian mother and Finnish father. It appears that she’s a native speaker of Russian, despite claiming she only speaks a little bit / learned it at school.
Is she really only 35 years old?
By all accounts yes, especially given that a birth date of 1986 appears on background checking sites. She just doesn’t look good for her age – likely because of poor lifestyle including drinking, smoking, sun exposure, and crash dieting.
What’s her real name?
Her earliest known name is Aija Räty. We don’t know if this is her birth name, however she’s used it since at least high school. It’s a common Finnish name so she may have been named by her biological father.
How many courses has Anna Bey created?
So far: “7 Steps to High Society”, “School of Affluence (SoA)” and “Secrets of the Elite Woman (SotEW)”
What webinars/masterclasses has Anna Bey been running?
Anna Bey will always run another series of webinars promoting every new opening of her course. Other than that, there are three webinars available through her website at the time of writing: “How To Look Expensive Masterclass”, “10 Brutal Mistakes That Show You Are Not Elegant” and “How to Tell if a Man is Affluent Masterclass”
Is she transgender?
No.
What season of Paradise Hotel did she appear in? Is it available online?
Season 4, which aired in 2010. The episodes that she appeared in are not currently online, but if anyone has a copy, let us know.
Is Joseph Hallit gay or bisexual? How do you know he is?
Some current Tattle users, who knew Anna at the time she met him, were aware that he liked to hire both male and female escorts. This would make him bisexual (or maybe a closeted gay man trying to cover his tracks) if true.
Is/was Anna a sex worker? How do you know she was?
Anna has stated that Joseph paid her rent in London i.e., she was a sugar baby. (In fact he most likely just let her use a company apartment, see above.) As mentioned, some Tattle users knew her personally when she lived in London and she was then part of a group of escorts/sugar babies who met through Tumblr. Anna has worked as a topless dancer (photo and video evidence on the threads). In this interview with Cosmopolitan, she alludes to escorting, and makes it clear that she approves of “transactional sex” to get ahead.
Has Anna ever been involved in pimping or trafficking?
There is no evidence of anything to do with trafficking – although see The A-List section, her use of personal data is very suspicious. At the time of living in London, Anna told acquaintances that her goal was to open a high-end escort agency – the “matchmaking” business she planned to open in 2016-17 was probably a cover for this. She continues to profit from teaching women escort tricks, which she disguises as a way to meet an “affluent” partner.
Are her bags real?
Some of them are – especially the less expensive ones (e.g. Chanel flap bag) and she has some that Lina Hadid bought for her as presents. Most of her bags are fake, rented, or borrowed from Lina. She likely does not own a real Hermes Birkin or Kelly. All those she’s been seen with in public are obvious replicas, and in order to buy a real one, you need to establish a purchase history with Hermes. Highly unlikely in Anna’s case, since she never displays anything else from Hermes; if she had it, she’d wear it everywhere like she does with her one Cartier bracelet.
How much money has she made from School of Affluence?
We don’t know exactly how much. We estimate that it is at least $300,000.
What do Anna and Joseph each get out of their relationship?
Anna can pretend Joseph is her “rich husband” and keep lying to her followers that she’s landed an affluent man. For Joseph, having a wife (even one like Anna) looks more respectable in business circles than none, and he may also be trying to hide his sexual orientation. There’s also the possibility Joseph is or was investing in Anna’s business. Their 2021 wedding is likely to have been for tax or immigration reasons; see Relationship section above.
