The real housewives of Lagos has shocked us silly.

The participants of this show have given the word shallow a whole new level of meaning.

Our biggest cringe moments of the show

First let’s begin by addressing the elephant in the room: the show is almost certainly staged. All comments below do not take this into account.

The Lady Chioma has an accent that seems seriously unnatural and forced .
This lady comes across as the most unnatural participant of the show. First off she’s not married and they don’t make it clear if she’s in a serious engagement type relationship hence it’s not quite clear why she’s on the show to begin with.
It addition she seems to have an unfair showing of her business endeavours particularly her charity foundation over the other participants of the show.
The most cringe worthy parts of the show certainly include the parts where the charity endeavours are being shoved down our throats almost like an ad, the emotional scenes looked extremely insincere.
There is a bad taste always when a Person shouts their so called good endeavours from the roof top, it usually is for financial gain.
Outside of the show this character was noted on a news channel where she literally said that Reality Tv could have a huge impact on GDP for the country, a country where there are millions of people starving and begging to eat is being seen as the poster child for reality tv…Make it Make Sense.

The participant Laura Ikeji is the most natural real person in the show. She comes across as devious but it certainly looks like she’s been selected to be this way by the producers. It also is quite understandable that she chooses not to get along with a lady who says she is just an acquaintance rather than a friend and another character who chose to use her to assassinate her sisters character. No self respecting person would put up with this.
The only gripe so far with the Laura character is when she laid weight on owning a designer bag when she was calling out Caroline in the most recent episode. This was extremely uncouth!
It is no surprise that her social media account has lost 100K followers since the last episode aired.

As for Caroline now this is a joke and a half. Cringe would be too kind. To scream obscenities regarding the husbands wealth and then to lay curses on children that’s as low as any person can get.

Throughtout the show there is so much talk on how the ladies are hustlers and work their butts off, however the hard work is yet to be seen, perhaps all the butt enhancements showcased and veneers are the hard work being described.

Money is great to have in silence, it’s not an accurate measure of success as money can be acquired in all manner of ways especially in this era.
