Nigeria’s Grand Salute: Chief of Defence at the Invictus Games – Valor or Vanity?

Attention attention, citizens of the globe! I’ve got a revelation to share that’s got the audacity to lighten your eyebrows considerably. Our dear Nigeria’s top dog in security – Chief of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, just made an exceptional move, a showstopper, some might say. Remember Harry and his good lady Meghan at the Invictus Games? Yes, Mr. Chief gave a taste of Nigerian hospitality at the royal event.

Hold your applause people – here’s a refresher. The Invictus Games – a commendable initiative, no argument there, a golden chance for injured military folks to have a blast, quite the noble cause. Harry’s done well; I’ll give him that. Credit where credit’s due.

And now enter our defense chief, Mr. Musa. Prestige personified, right? Presented a plaque to the couple – a gesture of respect, of dignity, if you will. All wonderful so far. But hold up – is this venue the ideal stage for a defence chief? What’s a high-ranking military officer doing at an event that’s more pomp and show than action? It’s quite the head-scratcher.

Adding to the intrigue was the Nigerian delegation’s bestowed honor upon Meghan. An intriguing trinity of names, each from a different Nigerian region. An honor at best and flattery at worst. Rightly so, considering Meghan’s 43% Nigerian roots. News that turned a few heads, certainly!

But here we are, stuck at the million dollar question – Why was Mr. Chief there at all? Intriguing, isn’t it? A defence chief attending a glittering affair hosted by ex-royals? Seems a far cry from his job description, doesn’t it add that desperate tag of a ‘try-hard’ on Nigeria’s reputation?

Folks, Nigeria is no simp. It’s a nation rich in oil, culture, and unprecedented human potential. It’s a powerhouse, but sadly, this move paints an odd picture. A defence chief’s solemn place is on the borders, securing the nation’s strength, and ensuring safety – Not on a red carpet making chit-chat. Let’s keep it real; it’s an absurd waste of valuable time and resources.

We won’t be surprised Missan Harriman Harry’s friend had something to do with it, it would explain a lot as he’s Nigeria . This was very likely a stunt to lend importance to Harry and Meghan like look chief of the Army is right here are t we important afterall!!!

Borders separate nations, while games bring them together. There’s merit in trying to strike a cordial balance. But let’s be clear – such gestures mustn’t confuse roles or undermine the harrowing seriousness of national defense.

With coups in surrounding neighbour countries to Nigeria its even more laughable.

So, Nigeria, rise above mere pleasantries. Embrace your strength, and let’s focus on real action, not faux pas. A nation’s greatness should not be overshadowed by ill-judged appearances. Nigeria, restore your dignity! Leave the games for the ex-royals and leave the defense to the patriots.
